Ballet: a classical form of dance characterized by grace and precision of movement and elaborate formal gestures, steps, and poses.
Pointe: is an advanced form of ballet performed on your toes. Students must be recommended by the ballet instructor to take this class.
Tap: is a form of dance characterized by a tapping sound that is created from metal plates that are attached to both the ball and heel of the dancer's shoe. These metal plates, when tapped agaianst a hard surface, create a percussive sound and as such the dancers are considered to be, somewhat, musicians.
Lyrical/Modern: the fusion of ballet and jazz techniques that use motion to interpret music and express emotion.
Jazz: is frequently influenced by other dance styles such as acro, ballet, contemporary, lyrical, hip hop, and is a smooth fusion of these types of dance.
Hip Hop: a high energy class full of all th latest styles of street dance. Beginning Hip Hop is for dancers 7-12 years and Advanced Hip Hop is for dancers 13 and up.
Adult Classes: are a great way to stay fit! Ladies of all ages and abilities come together for lots of fun. It is always good to challenge ourselves with learning something new. Lets not let the children have all the fun! Although performing is always optional, we do enoy dancing and entertaining around the community.
