Our academy classes offer instruction and performance opportunities in jazz, tap, ballet, hip hop, and acro for ages two and up! We offer two large productions within the dance year: our iconic show How the Dancing Grinch Stole Christmas and our Spring Recital. There are also several other performance opportunities throughout the season.

*A $95 enrollment fee includes registration and winter performance fees. Costume fees are not included in monthly tuition.
Sibling and multiple class discounts are available at 20% off on one dancer's/class tuition. Dancers must be potty trained.

Dress code:

This class offers pre-dance foundations in tap and ballet for our younger dancers who are just getting started! Ages can range from 2-6. Classes are divided based on experience.

Broadway Babies

Boys—Black sweatpants or shorts, Coastal T-shirt, Black ballet shoes, Black tap shoes, and Black jazz shoes.
Girls—Coastal leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes, black jazz shoes, and tan Mary Jane tap shoes.

Dress code:

This class focuses on foundational skills in tap, ballet, and jazz. Whether you have had previous dance experience or are trying something new, this class will allow dancers to learn new dance skills. Ages can range from 6 and up. Classes are divided based on experience.

Rockin' Rockstarz

Boys and Girls—Comfortable street clothes (no jeans) and sneakers.

Dress code:

We offer hip-hop classes for all levels! Hip-hop dance is a great option if you want a fun and challenging dance style. It is a great way to improve physical fitness, coordination, and balance. It also teaches teamwork and trust and is a lot of fun! Classes are divided based on experience.

Hip-Hop I & II

Boys—Black sweatpants or shorts, Coastal T-shirt, Black ballet shoes, Black tap shoes, and Black jazz shoes.
Girls—Coastal leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes, black jazz shoes, and black oxford tap shoes.

Dress code:

These classes allow dancers to learn tap, jazz, and ballet dance techniques beyond the foundational skills. Academy I is perfect for dancers who want to challenge themselves and advance their dance abilities! Academy II is recommended for experienced dancers not interested in competition dance but wanting to further their technique and dance skills. Classes are divided based on experience.

Acrodance is a style of dance that combines classical dance techniques with precision acrobatic elements. Dancers who train in acro dance develop a strong sense of body awareness, balance, and coordination. They also learn how to work together effectively as partners, and they develop a sense of trust and teamwork. Classes are divided based on experience.

Acro I & II

Coastal is proud to offer dance classes for all ages and skill levels! We currently offer adult tap and hip-hop classes throughout the dance season.
